New SIG app lets sourcing site materials go mobile

SIG UK has developed a new app which enables contractors on any site in the UK to locate the nearest branch of the construction supplies firm, based on the type of products they need.

The ‘1st Contact’ app invites users to select what stage of build their project is currently at.

Based on that information and the user’s location, the app will identify all SIG UK branches relevant to their needs within a two to 100 mile radius of the device.

Mark Tomlin, UK Group Sales & Marketing Director at SIG plc, said: “As a business, we are committed to helping construction professionals anywhere in the country source the materials they need for their projects, as quickly and cost-effectively as possible, and with minimum hassle.

“The 1st Contact mobile app serves as a digital stepping stone between SIG and its customers, making it easier than ever for contractors, subcontractors and developers to get in touch with us.

“Along with future bolt-ons to the app that are currently in the pipeline, 1st Contact is sure to be an invaluable tool for our customers.”

Compatible with iPhones, iPads and Android devices, the ‘1st Contact’ app is now available and can be accessed on one of these mobile devices directly at http://1stcontact.sigplc.mobi/ or via the UK homepage: www.sigplc.com/uk.
