The ‘Heathrow Asphalt’ plant will supply highways clients and partners in west London with the capacity to produce up to 300,000 tonnes of asphalt annually.
FM Conway has received planning consent for the new plant from the London Borough of Hillingdon and is aiming for the site to be fully operational by April 2014.
The plant is located next to the Grand Union Canal which could allow the the waterway to be used to transport aggregates in order to minimise truck movements.
