BDL was founded over 30 years ago by Frank Burke and has developed into a market leader in the drywall sector.

The firm has earned its reputation on big London schemes like The Shard, Olympics, Terminal 5 and Canary Wharf, but also operates further afield across the south and Midlands.

BDL employs 120 staff and boasts around 650 craft operatives working on commercial and residential projects at any one time.

Denis Deacy, Carey group managing director, said: “Although the ownership of BDL has changed, the name will remain the same and the existing management team and staff will be retained to ensure continuity of service on existing contracts.”

BDL will also continue to operate from it offices in New Denham, Uxbridge working for major clients around the country.
