This presents a performance risk during the construction period as the changes to current operating methods are bedded in.
Under the planned alliance set-up Network Rail will work both as client and alliance partner.
The work programme with the alliance partners has been split into key lots and could be extended to 2025.

- Lot 2 track construction £89m-£459m
- Lot 3 station and structures £62-£322m
- Lot 4 overhead lines £36m-£186m
