Lend Lease has announced another managerial shake-up at its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.

The latest change sees Chief Executive Officer Simon Hipperson leave the business.

The unit will now report to Group Chief Operating Officer Dan Labbad.

Hipperson had only been at the helm for just over a year and “has left the business to pursue other personal and business interests.”

Prior to his appointment as Group Chief Operating Officer in July 2012, Labbad was CEO of the EMEA region.

Commenting on the management change, Steve McCann, Lend Lease Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, said:  “Asking Dan to resume oversight of the EMEA region as part of his COO responsibilities is a strong endorsement of Lend Lease’s commitment to the region.

“Dan has deep relationships with key clients in this region and is closely involved in the operational and strategic decisions we make as a Group.”

“We have great projects in the UK and Italy which will underpin our growth in the region.

“We have also flagged the future sale of Bluewater and are focused on redeploying that capital in sectors and markets which will increase our opportunities for earnings growth outside of Australia.”

Labbad will take up the expanded role immediately and divide his time between Sydney and London.
