The firm aims to take on an extra 50 staff, which will increase Keepmoat’s workforce in the south by almost a sixth.
Keepmoat’s southern division based in Luton employs 341 staff across the region.
The recruitment drive is being launched after securing land for 250 new homes in Peterborough and Cambridge as well as new contract wins in Ipswich and Harrow.
Over the last year, Keepmoat has also been awarded several large education and refurbishment projects in the south including a £13m project to construct a brand new sixth form and science centre at the Portslade Aldridge Community Academy, in Brighton.
Keepmoat also said it is planning to build its first ever homes in Scotland where it is looking for sites of up to 100 plots.
Among the job posts which Keepmoat is advertising are positions for quantity surveyors, senior quantity surveyors, site managers and senior site managers in the new build housing, planned maintenance, care and education sectors.
In addition, it is also looking to hire contracts managers, design co-ordinators and design managers in the new build housing, care and education sectors.
Dan Germann, managing director of Keepmoat in the south, said: “The fact that we are now embarking on our largest ever recruitment drive in the south is a result of the exceptional work we have done to win new business and the strength of the recovery in the housing market.
“We are looking forward to getting these new faces on board as we aim to grow the business even more in 2014.”
