The developer plans to convert the iconic Earls Court office building into 340 homes, making it the biggest offices-to-flats plan in the capital.
The scheme will see all the main building facades re-clad in anodised bronze covering 27,000 sq m. This will help to form balconies for a range of one to three bedroom flats and improve its thermal performance.
Capco has already advanced plans and has Arup on board as structural consultant with Mace providing just construction advice at this stage.

The 450,000 sq ft Empress building is presently home to the Mayor’s office for policing and crime until June 2019, although the building has been identified as surplus to need in a recent space review.
It sits within the Capco-owned site, which will see the Earls Court Exhibition Centre demolished, clearing the way for 7,500 new homes across four new residential districts in West London.
