The firm was up against Higgins, Galliford Try, Lovell and Wates for the big regeneration job at St John’s Hill estate.
Peabody said the lowest bid came in at £112.1m, against an initial project costing of £90m.
The scheme comprises the regeneration of a 1930s Peabody estate whose accommodation is not now fit for the needs of residents.
The Clapham Junction will be completed over three phases between this year and 2020.
Sisk will begin work on the first stage in the spring, and is due to finish in the summer of 2016.

The job involves construction of 528 new homes, 279 affordable properties and 249 for private sale, as well as some commercial space. Green features include solar panels and a district heating plant.
A new community hub will be incorporated at the centre of the development including a café, learning space and a multifunctional hall.
