The 37-storey tower was nicknamed the “Walkie Scorchie” last summer when the sun’s rays reflecting from its distinctive facade melted cars on Fenchurch Street.
A temporary scaffold screen was erected while a permanent solution was drawn-up.
Land Securities confirmed today: “A planning application for the solution to the solar glare issue will be submitted next month.”
The problem has not stopped tenants snapping up space in the building whch is now 64% pre-let with a further 23% in solicitors’ hands.
