Arup has picked up the job to design the complex programme to overhaul the busy airport’s baggage systems and another to improve passenger experience at the airport.
Atkins has won the key role to designing Heathrow’s forward programme of asset replacement while Jacobs will draw up a plan programme of work to improve airport resilience.
Winners for overall project management and cost management services are also due to be revealed shortly.
Heathrow Airport is presently talking to contractors about a packages of contracts that will cover assets replacement, in a strategic shift away from major civil engineering projects.
This will see a delivery integrator named to oversee the infrastructure works refurbishment plan.
Also BAM Nuttall in a joint venture with M&E specialist VVB Engineering is tipped to have won the £130m refurbishment of the cargo tunnel.
Other major jobs include Northern runway improvements and storm water catchment improvements.
Winning contractors are expected to be announced next month.
