Lakesmere has been appointed by Crown House Technologies to work on the new LD6 building for global data centre company Equinix.
The specialist will start on site in May on the Arup-designed scheme.
The contract will see teams from Lakesmere South and Lakesmere’s Flat Roofing division working together to deliver the full envelope package in just 24 weeks.
Work will include the design and installation of 11,000m2 of Trimo Qbiss composite panels and 1,000m2 of Schüco FW50+ SG curtain walling for the external walls with translucent Kalwall cladding panels for the link bridges.
The contract will also see Lakesmere undertake the creation of a large feature roof light using Okalux encapsulated louvre glazing and the installation of 2,000m2 of high performance louvres which will aid the natural ventilation and cooling of the building.
