Munro, 54, will lead a new division concentrating on new-build schemes, covering all tenures of affordable housing, care and extra care schemes.
Keepmoat’s existing south west refurbishment team is already delivering projects worth around £20m a year.
Previously south west regional director at Galliford Try, Munro’s background includes housing, care and land-led developments.
He said: “I’ve worked within the industry for over 30 years in the South West and will bring this experience to bear in my new role at Keepmoat.
“I’m looking forward to a new challenge in what is a forward thinking organisation with a clear aspiration to increase our market share in the region.”
