Betting Spy: Newcastle are playing in flip flops

Newcastle’s season is unravelling faster that a cheap sweater.

Now that may be bad news for the Toon Army.

But for punters it’s a godsend with the Geordies suffering such a horrific run of recent form.

Alan Pardew’s men have got nothing to play for and are already mentally packing for the summer break.

They were awful again at home to Man Utd last week and have shipped 11 goals in their last three games without scoring themselves.

Next up are Stoke at the Britannia where the home side are a very attractive 5/4 to beat a team who might as well be wearing flip flops rather than football boots.

Everton and Man Utd did the business for us with a nice double last week.

So let’s have another go with Stoke as the first leg and Everton once again to see us home.

The Toffees are pushing for that Champions League spot while Sunderland have got one foot on the trapdoor.

Romelu Lukaku should have a field day with the Black Cat’s back line and the Stoke/Everton double pays a shade under 3/1 which will do me.

The big match of the weekend is Liverpool v Man City on Sunday which will have a huge say on who wins the title.

It’s one of those you can enjoy without a bet- but nearly 2/1 on City is tempting.

It’s part of a great day’s sport which will start with me rolling out of bed earlyish to watch the London Marathon.

Luckily the race goes past the bottom of my road so it’s only a short stroll to watch the runners go by all morning.

A quick Sunday brunch then it’s the big game before a full afternoon and evening of golf from the US Masters where I’ll be cheering on Mickelson and McIlroy who are carrying Betting Spy’s hard-earned.

Now that’s what I call a weekend.
