The Midlands batch of 8 secondary schools is the fifth planned to be delivered and has given Carillion its first shortlisting success under the schools PF2.
The schools include: Alfreton Grange Arts College; ARK Kings Academy; Greenwood Academy; The Phoenix Collegiate; Plantsbrook School; President Kennedy School; Queen Elizabeth School; and Top Valley Academy.

Earlier this year the Interserve/Kajima joint venture took the first batch of seven schools in Hertfordshire, Luton and Reading, worth £150m.
And at the start of May, Miller secured the £120m PF2 north east batch, beating Laing O’Rourke and Sir Robert McAlpine.
BAM Construction, Morgan Sindall and Laing O’Rourke are presently battling it out for a £100m PF2 deal in Yorkshire.
And in the North West, Laing O’Rourke, Morgan Sindall and Vinci are bidding a £120m batch of 12 schools.
