The firm saw off Vinci, Kier and Thomas Vale to take the six storey building job.
The new build scheme is being led by project managers Gardiner&Theobald and has been designed by Manchester-based architectural practice, Sheppard Robson.
It is scheduled to open its doors to students in September 2015.
Vice-chancellor professor Geoff Layer said: “The new building is going to be state-of-the-art and will provide our students with a really wonderful learning experience.
“It will have areas to develop our research capacity and executive education, where we work with businesses to improve competitiveness and facilitate economic growth.”
The plans are part of an investment of around £45m by the university to redevelop its City Molineux and Wulfruna Campuses in Wolverhampton City Centre.
