The new panel of contractors for the AMP6 period will also be used by Thames Water’s super alliance infrastructure partners to deliver projects.
These two alliance joint ventures of Costain, Veolia, Atkins and Balfour Beatty, Skanska and MWH Global team will handle £2.5bn of spending and be free to use the civils framework firms where needed.
Thames Water said the ‘FA1230 Infrastructure Alliance’ will deliver network and developer services.
These include leak detection, repairs and extensions to the water main. Repairs and blockage removal in the sewer network.
The work programme will also include water and waste water connections for developers and metering.
There will be options to extend the framework arrangements into AMP7 and AMP8, with Thames Water presently estimating a spend of £600m-£900m over the initial AMP6 period.
