Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service took him to the Royal London Hospital.
They were supported by ambulance workers from voluntary Jewish medical organisation Hatzola North London.
A London Ambulance Service spokeswoman told the Standard: “We were called at 4.45pm to the junction of Clapton Common and Overlea Road to reports of a fall at a construction site.
“We sent a number of resources to the scene including an ambulance crew, a hazardous area response team and London’s air ambulance.
“We treated a man reported to be in his 30s for a head and chest injury.
“He was taken, as a priority, to Royal London Hospital.”
