Dodsworth will help drive Wates’ campaign to grow its presence in new markets in Newcastle, Teesside, Sunderland and Durham, building on its portfolio of projects across Yorkshire.
Dodsworth joins from Bowmer & Kirkland Ltd where he spent eight years as Construction Director overseeing projects in the North East and Scotland.
Dodsworth will now lead the delivery of Wates’ projects including Haribo’s new £35m Wakefield production facility and the £5.6m XP School in Doncaster.
