Betting Spy: Hammer time for the Foxes

It’s a top of the table clash at the weekend when West Ham host Leicester City at the Boleyn.

You’ve got to love the first week of the season as fans wildly over react to their team’s prospects after just ninety minutes of football.

North London was awash with locals crying into their lattes after West Ham did a number on Arsenal.

But surely it’s a record even for the hardest-to-please Gunner to be calling for the manager’s head after just one game?

The Irons looked a different team under Slaven Bilic – but I won’t get carried away.

Well not totally – just enough to tip them for another win this weekend.

Leicester will be a tougher test than Arsenal – now there’s a sentence I didn’t expect to be writing.

But West Ham will be well-up for their first home game under a a new boss and quotes of 13/10 seem fair enough

That’s not going to make anyone rich so let’s chance a treble with Southampton to beat Everton and Swansea to beat Newcastle.

Everton look like a team treading water while the Swans gave Chelsea a real scare despite Mourinho’s attempts to deflect attention with his ridiculous doctor rant.

The West Ham/Southampton/Swansea treble pays nearly 8/1 and should give us a decent run for our money.

The big game of the weekend is at the Etihad where Man City host Chelsea.

It’s a very tricky one to call but 5/2 on Chelsea is a price you don’t see very often and may be worth a go if you really have to have a punt.

A few more wins and West Ham will be dreaming of Europe.

Oh we’ve already done that this season and been knocked out by the mighty Romanian vowel manglers of Astra Giurgiu.

But no-one cared about that once the second went in against Arsenal.

Who said football fans are fickle?
