Balfour Beatty took on the five-year contract with Wiltshire Council in 2013 but relations between both sides became strained following a string of complaints about the contractor’s performance.
In September both sides mutually agreed to end the contract next March, more than two years before the scheduled end of the contract in June 2018.
The new framework will also include highways and structures repairs for Swindon Borough Council taking the annual forecast spend to £15m.
Interested firms have until 19 November to submit prequalification documents with the newly appointed contractor expected to start in the second quarter of next year.
