The contractor has signed a deal with Cardiac Science to provide Powerheart G5 automated external defibrillators (AEDs).
Morgan Sindall teams are now installing a minimum of one AED at each of its office and site locations across the country.
The kit will be made available to each of Morgan Sindall’s business operations through its internal plant hire division Magnor Plant.
Martin Worthington, Morgan Sindall’s SHEQ Director, who has led the initiative, said: “Having the flexibility of supply through our business is ideal as our teams are often on sites for varying degrees of time, so we needed an arrangement that reflects this.
“It means our employees across the UK, whether based on a temporary or permanent site, will have consistent access to what we believe to be the best AED units available.
“AEDs are proven to save lives and you never know when one might be needed.”
Shaun Ingram, UK Managing Director of Cardiac Science, said: “We believe that we provide the best equipment and support available in our sector, but recognise the needs of businesses can vary greatly, which is why we have developed the new partnership with Morgan Sindall.
“It’s great to see Morgan Sindall leading the way on this front and I hope more multi-site businesses will follow their example.”
The fully automatic Powerheart G5 AED is designed to enable both experienced and first-time rescuers to provide quick and effective life-saving therapy to aid the victim of cardiac arrests before the Emergency Services arrive at the scene.
