Lee Jon Newman will take over from Bertrand Quenot who was recently promoted to president of Europe at Elliott, which is part of the Algeco Scotsman Group.
Newman is tasked with creating a clear strategy for Elliott to enter new UK markets as well as strengthening existing ones and also improving its customer satisfaction levels to maintain its market leading position.
He joins from materials distributor, the Wolseley Group, where he was managing director of the commercial and industrial division. Before that he spent nearly four years as group operations director of HSS.
Newman said: “It is an exciting time for me to join Elliott and I am delighted to have taken this position.
“We already have a very strong market position for providing portable accommodation in our target markets and I will be building on the foundations laid down by Bertrand Quenot in developing a series of projects aimed at growing our business even further.
