Up to 500 crane operators and support staff, who operate lifting services for projects raging from the M1 and M6 motorway upgrades to the new Forth Road Bridge, will launch a programme of action at 30 UK depots.
A series of escalating strikes from one to three days will start on 1 February to 23 March alongside a programme of overtime bans due to begin on 30 January to 20 March.
Construction union Unite is now urging Ainscough to avert disruption to construction sites by improving its two-year pay deal.
The workforce rejected a revised offer of 2.5% and 2.75%, arguing it failed to recognise their contribution to last year’s £14m profits.
Unite national officer for construction Bernard McAulay, said: “Ainscough needs to heed this warning and come back to the negotiating table with an improved pay offer or risk major disruption to its UK-wide operations. Our members are seeking a pay deal that recognises the dynamic and specialist skills they have.”
