An air ambulance was called to take the man to hospital after he was freed by the emergency services.
A London Fire Brigade spokesman said: “Firefighters helped free a man trapped underneath a waste disposal lorry on Wood Lane in White City this morning.
“Fire crews worked alongside other emergency services to release him from the back axle of the vehicle.
“He was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews.
“The Brigade was called at 0823 and incident was over for us at 0919. Firefighters from Hammersmith and Paddington were at the scene.”
The site is being redeveloped by Stanhope and Mitsui Fudosan.
