Kent cladding specialist Drytech Facades has been placed in administration.

The firm was established six years ago by Stephen Deane and Tommy McDermott and employed around 40 staff.

Around half the employees were offered work with Drytech Facades eight months ago when an associated company, partitions and ceilings specialist Drywall Technologies went into administration.

Bexley-based Drytech Facades worked for Balfour Beatty, Higgins and Lovell on several London cladding projects. It had just finished a retail hub in Hackney for the Manhattan Loft Company.

London insolvency specialist Smith & Williamson is the administrator.
