Murgatroyd’s new role will see him working alongside Interserve’s senior management team to support the continued growth of its transport support services business.
Transport is a key area of growth for Interserve, which holds accounts with some of the sector’s largest organisations including Network Rail and London Underground.
For the past nine years, Murgatroyd has been part of Balfour Beatty Rail’s executive team; latterly as director and general manager of Balfour Beatty’s rail plant and rail civils divisions, which saw him running long-term frameworks with London Underground and Network Rail.
Guy Bruce, managing director at Interserve, said: “Transport is an important sector for us and Kevin brings with him a wealth of industry experience. His vast knowledge and expertise will be invaluable in helping our transport clients to meet the challenges and opportunities ahead.”
