The announcement comes just two weeks after the WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff/Ramboll joint venture failed in its bid to win the main engineering delivery partner role for the first phase of HS2.
Nadia Savage, LFM JV board director said, “I am delighted to welcome the WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff and Ramboll JV to the team. Both are acknowledged experts in innovation and advanced engineering, and will be crucial to our plans to participate in the UK’s latest high speed rail project.”
The consultants will provide engineering design services including tunnelling, earthworks, structures, highways and viaducts.
WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff will draw on its expertise in delivering international high speed rail projects.
These include rail system engineering for High Speed 2 – Phase One in the UK, the Cologne-Rhine Main Line, Taiwan High Speed Rail and California High Speed Rail.
Ramboll brings experience on Norway’s new High Speed rail line and the upgrade of Denmark’s entire rail signalling system to ERTMS, the world’s longest road/rail tunnel – Fehmarnbelt.
