With the help of consultant Arcadis, the council has set up the EXEseed Framework – Exeter Sustainable Energy Efficient Developments Framework – to provide a delivery platform for all public sector bodies to connect with the right contractor for a new wave of projects designed to be more sustainable.
Sustainable energy efficient developments have been the trademark of the council for the last seven years.
It has pioneered the development of new council housing to the certified Passivhaus standard, including the successful delivery of the UK’s first multi-residential Passivhaus development.
The new framework partners will deliver developments across Exeter for both commercial and residential projects, including new schemes such as a leisure complex with swimming pool, extra care homes and new council housing stock.
