Costain reported a strong first six months of trading this morning with record orders up 5% on last year.

Repeat orders continue to represent more than 90% of its £3.7bn order book, reflecting Costain’s long term relationship with its major infrastructure customers.

In a trading statement, Costain confirmed it was a preferred bidder on over £400m of projects and tendering levels remained high across its main regulated infrastructure markets.

Half-year results will be published in late August.
