McLaren has set up a new division to go after industrial and retail projects below £10m.

The new division will be headed up by Regional Managing Director David Murphy.

He said: “We have organically grown into a diverse business successfully turning over £600m and we are extremely excited about our new division.

“The new division will sit within the remaining business, and this will not only serve our existing customers but will inevitably lead to forming relationships with new ones.

“We are strategically placed to benefit from this continued growth in the industrial and retail markets of projects that are sub £10m and our existing customers are encouraging us to do this.

“This will bring us into competition with a different set of rivals but the team will have the backing of the whole of McLaren Group; its experience, its reputation and its financial strength.

“We will also consider schemes in other sectors like Hotels, Residential and Leisure.”
