Comedian Russell Kane and Channel Four’s architecture expert George Clarke will be hosting the Construction Enquirer Awards in Birmingham next month.

Kane will take time out from his current national tour to entertain the construction crowd at the Vox Venue next to the NEC on October 18.

And Clarke will be presenting prizes to all the Top Ten winners after more than 11,000 people voted for their industry favourites.

Tables are filling up fast as companies look to reward their staff and suppliers.

Enquirer editor Aaron Morby said: “I’m delighted that Russell and George will be joining us for what promises to be a fantastic night.

“Construction people know how to celebrate and we have a great venue and top entertainment for them to enjoy.”

George Clarke is a TV regular and an architecture expert

Major firms are also looking to link their brands with the awards with Keepmoat and Taylor Woodrow now joining Kier and McNicholas Construction as headline sponsors.

One Top Ten winner said: “We are taking a few tables because we want to reward as many people as possible.

“The response from the industry has been amazing – 11,000 votes speaks for itself.

“These really are awards made possible by construction people so we don’t want to do the usual thing of just the marketing manager turning up and taking all the credit.

“It’s important that our people who earned this get a great night out as well.”

Another added: “We spend a fortune on being good employers and working collaboratively with our supply chain.

“Sometimes that work goes unsung so this is a chance to really shout about what we have achieved.”

Further sponsorship opportunities are available to associate your brand with awards which are engaging the whole of construction.

Top Ten winners will receive their awards on the night and the company in each category which gathered the most votes will also be revealed.
