Jaguar Land Rover has picked BAM Construction to deliver a vast multi-storey car park next to the manufacturer’s Castle Bromwich factory in Birmingham.

The 59,000 sq m structure, which is expected to be worth more than £25m, will provide 2,764 spaces for staff and production vehicle parking, replacing an existing surface car park.

The five-storey car park will be handed over in multiple phases matching car production requirements in the adjacent facilities.

The scheme employs piled foundations with pads, with Bourne Parking providing the steel frame with concrete planks, pre-cast stair cores and cladding.

Jay Roberts is the project manager for BAM having worked on many fast-tracked Midlands projects for BAM. Ridge and Partners are the architect and structural engineer. Mace is the quantity surveyor. The project is overseen for Jaguar Land Rover by AME (Advanced Manufacturing Engineering) Construction.
