The contractor has just started construction on the Portswood Road scheme, which will deliver 435 beds, a large social hub, movie room, gym, private dining and dedicated study areas.
Jon Daines, area director at Morgan Sindall, said: “The scheme takes student accommodation to the next level and has been designed with the needs of today’s modern students as the central element.
“We look forward to handing over the scheme in time for the start of the academic year in 2018.”
Vita Student, a Select Property Group brand, currently has nine residences in operation with a further nine in development. This will see the portfolio more than triple by 2019, growing 250% from 1,764 to 6,165 beds.
