The Private Investment Construction framework is a four-year deal divided into two lots, one covering covering major projects across England and Wales, and the other smaller projects covering the South and Central regions.
Interserve, which has previously worked with the health trust, is joined by Kier, Vinci and Willmott Dixon on both panels with Speller Metcalfe joining the firms on the south and central lot.
The framework has been launched by Yeovil District Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and is supported by healthcare developer Prime to be used by other public bodies.
Prime’s role as framework manager and client will also give contractor partners access to construction projects through Prime’s full range of health and social care clients.
Leighton Chumbley, Managing Director of Prime added: “The truly exciting aspect of this framework is that it provides a vehicle for the NHS to access vital sources of private funding, unlike other frameworks which are dependent on the availability of public sector capital.
“This will create a whole new market of opportunity for contractors.”
