Fusion21 has named the line-up of preferred firms for the supply and installation of sprinkler systems and other fire suppression systems for social housing.

The ten selected firms are expected to share up to £150m of work over a five-year period as housing associations and councils respond to post-Grenfell improvements.

Fusion21: Fire Suppression Systems and Associated Works

  • Aquamatic Fire UK
  • ENGIE Regeneration
  • Fortem Solutions
  • Kier Services
  • Harmony Fire
  • Lovell Partnerships
  • Morgan Sindall Property Services
  • Mulalley & Company
  • Wates Living Space
  • United Living (North)

The new national dynamic purchasing system is being billed as a next generation framework as it allows new suitable suppliers to join at any time rather than waiting for a term renewal.

This approach also gives the flexibility to respond to any changes in legislation or within the wider marketplace.

This DPS is the first on the market to provide a complete fire safety solution suitable for the social housing sector and public sector buildings of any scale.

Social landlords can now ensure all properties – including high-rise tower blocks – meet correct fire safety standards while selecting a procurement route that has the flexibility to respond to any future changes in legislation or within the wider marketplace.

The system also supports registered providers to comply with Section 20 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985, as it can facilitate contractor nominations made by leaseholders.

Dave Neilson, Chief Executive at Fusion21 said: “Fusion21 members will secure greater efficiency savings and value for money when accessing this DPS, whilst being assured that experienced high quality fire safety suppliers are competing to deliver their works.”

“Having experienced an increased demand for fire safety measures, our latest offer to the social housing market means members can access a range of fire suppression systems – in addition to our already established fire safety services.”
