Phillips trained in civil engineering and construction management and has over 20 years’ industry experience having worked as highlands area leader for both Morgan Sindall and ROK civil engineering in the past.

He joined Robertson from his own consultancy business where he provided pre-construction and project management services.

Philipps, aged 42, will oversee the day-to-day management of subcontractors and implement a robust operational strategy to drive the Northern business forward.

Robertson Northern forms part of Robertson Group, which consists of 21 companies, employing over 2,300 people across Scotland and the North and Midlands of England, and has a turnover in excess of £600m.
