Aarsleff will install 175 linear metres of steel sheet piles to create a 4m retaining wall to hold up the main access road into the new housing development.
The 1.76-hectare site will comprise of 36 houses to create the Buckton View development.
Construction for the development will require extensive ground works due to the ground levels being uneven and steep making this project more challenging due to its restricted access.
Aarsleff’s Senior Technical Estimator, Ashley Carter, said: “Having previously installed a sheet piled cofferdam for CPUK on the Rhenus Logistics headquarters in Port Salford, we are delighted to have been given the sheet piling contract for Buckton View.”
Aarsleff Ground Engineering currently plan to commence work in mid-June for six weeks.
