Work on the 1.6-acre student accommodation project will now start on site under a £54m contract.

First Way Campus situated a few minutes’ walk from Wembley Stadium, will include a mix of purpose-built student accommodation as well as academic, office and outdoor space.

Cole Waterhouse has struck a deal with student rooms specialist Unite Students to forward fund the project.

The scheme will rise from 7 to 11 floors and use modular construction methods

The project team also includes CZWG Architects, Yorkshire-based ESP as M&E consultant and Riley Consulting acting as cost consultant.

Damian Flood, CEO of Cole Waterhouse, said: “We have worked with Bowmer & Kirkland over a 15-year period and have great confidence in their ability to perform.”

Matthew Cruttenden, Director at Bowmer & Kirkland said that the 680-bed First Way Campus was expected to complete in July 2020.

It is being built as a more cost-effective alternative for students than some central London accommodation options.
