Original Joinery, which is based in Thornaby in Teesside but works across the UK, offers a range of services, including large scale residential, hotels and bespoke projects.
Recent work includes Backworth primary school, several Premier Inns and over 600 apartments.
Managing director Kyle Fowler said: “Our turnover has grown from £250,000 in 2014, when we were founded, to £2.3m last year, and our profit remains steady at 20 per cent year on year.
“This year we expect to reach turnover of approximately £3.5m, thanks to new projects and secured work.”
Fowler started the firm with himself and one other joiner. It has now grown to 50 tradespeople.
He said: “We work on projects across the UK, and pride ourselves on being a lean company, our whole management team working remotely.
“I’m keen to keep up the momentum, and my growth plans for 2019 are as ambitious as every year preceding them.
“I’m planning to employ a quantity surveyor and another project manager, as well as open an office in Birmingham.”
