Costain appoints Atkins digital guru

Costain has hired former Atkins director Nathan Marsh as its first head of digital construction.

Joining the board in the new role of chief digital officer, Marsh will spearhead Costain’s commercial digital strategy, with responsibility for the delivery of group-wide digital services enhancing solutions to clients.

He will also represent Costain on key strategic industry groups ensuring Costain helps shape the future of digital infrastructure.

Marsh spent three years at Atkins, most recently as head of digital transformation. Before that, he worked at Ernst & Young in a similar role and previously was an officer in the Welsh Guards.

“Nathan’s key industry relationships and experience of enabling digital capabilities across the UK’s critical nature infrastructure will ensure Costain shapes the future adoption of digital solutions and supports our clients in the implementation of this transition.”

Marsh added: “I am incredibly excited at becoming Costain’s first-ever CDO.

“Our sector is undergoing a wholesale digital transformation and it’s fantastic to see progressive industry leaders like Costain invest in and prioritise digital.”
