Co-op will be working with City Buildings and Engineering Services (CBES), Link Contracting and Lancer Scott on the regional deals using local tradespeople.
The “Tech in a Van” programme will see the three suppliers – in Co-op branded uniform and vehicles – handle a wide range of plumbing, joinery, brickwork and electrical works.
David Roberts, Managing Director, Co-op Property, said: “This long term partnership approach has enabled us to develop a bespoke solution, resulting in a team of highly skilled dedicated engineers delivering fantastic services to sites in their local area.”
Lancer Scott has landed the £40m UK South deal covering 1,300 premises.
Craig Coombes, FM Director at Lancer Scott said: “This long-term partnership establishes Lancer Scott as one of the key providers of technical maintenance in the retail grocery and funeral home marketplace.
“The partnership will enable Lancer Scott to continue and expand our commitment to the communities we work in across the South of the UK with local jobs for local people and investment in community-based projects.”
