Trilandium was main contractor for developer X1 on its 191-apartment X1 The Landmark scheme.
But Trilandium’s team left the site earlier this week leaving the developer looking to work with subcontractors to get the job – which topped out in October – finished.
The Enquirer was first contacted by worried subcontractors earlier this month after payments stopped filtering down on the site.
Trilandium director Russell Baker told the Enquirer at the time “X1 are a great client and all is well between Trilandium and X1.”
But an X1 spokesperson has now said: “X1 The Landmark has encountered some contractual issues with its main contractor in the delivery of the scheme which X1 have brought to a head this week.
“X1 together with their partnering supply chain are actively engaged in reprogramming the works to secure a rapid return to site and delivery of the scheme as close as possible to the original completion programme. The site is of course completely secure.”
Companies House records show that Trilandium changed its name this week.
Trilandium took on the £31m job from original contractor Forrest who went into administration in December 2018.
