The 89-year old firm, which traded as Anders Glass revealed its financial problems at the start of the month, when it ceased trading laying off over 20 staff without warning.
The firm is understood to have been owed £85,000 by Bardsley Construction.
While Anders had an order books of over £900k and a potential future orders, which were in negotiation for another £1.1m, the cash shortfall toppled the business.
It has now formally been placed into the hands of administrators from the Manchester office of administrator Leonard Curtis.
The firm was being run by managing director Simon Anders, a third-generation member of the founding family, when it crashed.
