Venue the NEC has currently been transformed into the NHS Nightingale Hospital, Birmingham, aiding the fight against the Covid-19 virus outbreak,.
The UK Concrete Show will now run on the 9th & 10th of September, 2020, the organisers have confirmed.
Event Director, Maddie Maclellan, said exhibitions will have a vital role to play in the re-launching of the economy following the tragic and extraordinary events of the past few months.
Maclellan said:“I believe that the bulk of the people in our vital industry will be ready and willing to begin the fight back and where better to start than by getting together, whilst continuing to observe social distancing, at the UK concrete industry show.”
Show Founder and Marketing Director, Steven Callaghan added: “There is no business within the UK concrete industry that has not been adversely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, but I am convinced that the best way to recover is for buyers and their supply chains to get together and map out the way forward.”
The new warm weather timing offers a number of opportunities to develop the show’s outside areas. Maclellan said: “There are a number of product groups represented at the show that come alive when demonstrated – polishing, diamond drilling and concrete repair are good examples, so we’ll be working hard at trying to create a vibrant exterior area”.
