Ex-Laing O’Rourke boss to run Royal BAM civils

The Royal BAM Group has hired veteran UK civil engineer John Wilkinson to become chief operating officer of its civil engineering division.

J.D. (Jonathan) Wilkinson will take up the role at the presently loss-making division from October and will join the group executive committee.

Wilkinson is currently president of infrastructure at international consultant SNC-Lavalin, based in Montreal, Canada.

He previously held senior positions with Laing O’Rourke, Kier and May Gurney, respectively as managing director UK Infrastructure, executive director Services and managing director.
