It is the most ambitious scheme yet from Greenwich’s plan to build 750 new council homes across the borough.
The council is looking for a modular housing specialist to deliver the scheme on a vacant site to the north of Kidbrooke Station.
Plans involve building 117 zero-carbon social rent homes across four buildings ranging from four to 10 storeys, associated public realm, play space and a nursery.
Heating will be provided by air source heat pumps and solar panels across the roofs of the buildings.
The project has gone in for planning, which is expected to be granted in the autumn to allow construction to start in March 2021.
Firms have until 19 October to submit prequalification documents, with shortlisted firms due to be invited to bid in November.
