Mason spent the last 20 years, becoming group managing director 10 years ago helping to grow the business from £27m turnover to £94m prior up to the floatation on the stock exchange in 2016.

During his time at Van Elle, Mason also became a chartered safety professional along with developing a £1m training facility to provide opportunities for upskilling and career development for all employees.

Mason will report to David Green, managing director of Green Piling.

Former estimating manager Simon Day will assume the role of pre-construction director and forms part of an executive team.
