Around 766 new homes will be built on the former Morris Walk North and South estates, which are being demolished by Squibb Group.
Architect PRP has designed the scheme collaboratively with Lovell Partnerships and the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
The layout now proposes a cluster of tall buildings of up to 13 storeys in the central part of Morris North, which then transitions down in height to take account of the surrounding area.
Apartments in Morris South will be up to six storeys in height, with the taller apartment blocks located along the railway edge.
The Morris North and South schemes will provide a total of 253 affordable homes, including 177 affordable rent and 76 shared ownership homes.
If granted full planning permission, it is anticipated Lovell will start on the main build in Autumn 2021.
