Gott was MD of Highways at Morgan Sindall infrastructure for more than four and a half years.
He joined Morgan Sindall Infrastructure in 2007 as part of the AMEC acquisition and progressed to be a senior director in 2010.
Gott initially headed up the energy business, then tunnelling and major projects before taking operational responsibility for the Highways business unit.
A Morgan Sindall spokesperson said: “We can confirm that Paul Gott, managing director of our Highways business unit, has chosen to leave our business to pursue other opportunities.

“Simon Smith, managing director of Infrastructure, will lead the Highways business for the interim period whilst we recruitment for a new managing director.”
