Bidding starts for £800m YORcivil 3 framework

Procurement body YORhub has started tendering for its third-generation civil engineering framework covering the Yorkshire and Humber regions.

Separated into two regional frameworks together worth an estimated £800m, they will replace YORcivil2, which is due to expire in August 2023.

Presently 29 civils firms hold places on the existing panels.

Tenders are due to be returned by 20 January 2023 and framework award is expected in the summer of 2023.

Key features of YORcivil3 include direct selection and single or two-stage mini competition call-off options, and the use of NEC4 as the preferred form of contract.

So far the YORcivil2 frameworks have delivered over 170 civils projects worth £500m for public sector clients.
